How to play PokeSurvivor

Choose a partner, keep moving, and collect experience while your active move attacks automatically. Here is how to get through your first run.

01 / Start a run

Click Play now on our homepage to load the game hosted at pokesurvivor.com. Then choose the guest option inside the game, or open the official site to use its account features. This website does not create or manage game accounts.

The official guide says guest progress is not saved. If you want cloud progress across devices, use an account on the official site. Browser privacy settings can restrict accounts inside an iframe.

02 / Move, switch and pause

On a keyboard, use WASD or the arrow keys to move. Use 1–4, Q/E, or the move icons to switch the active move. Esc pauses. Moves fire automatically: switching moves does not mean all four slots attack at once.

On a phone or tablet, turn the device sideways, drag to move, tap a move icon to switch, and use the top-right pause button. Fullscreen or the official site gives more room than a small embedded window.

03 / Pick a partner

The official starter roster contains the three traditional starters from each of nine regions, plus Psyduck and Slowpoke. The personality test suggests a partner; its source also allows you to reject the suggestion and choose another.

Start with a partner whose initial move you want to learn. Our starter directory lists the exact starting move and base game statistics. Those numbers do not measure a full build or predict your survival time.

04 / Level up and upgrade

Collect experience and choose from three cards when you level up. Cards can add a move, improve an existing move, or boost your partner. The official guide says moves can evolve at maximum level with the required upgrade.

Permanent upgrades belong to each Pokémon. The game UI specifies that they apply only while playing that Pokémon, so check the selected partner before spending coins. Switching partners does not transfer those upgrades.

05 / Bonds and held items

A bond combines moves into one active slot so they can fire together. This is different from cycling between separate slots. The player source records four move slots and bonds earned as legendary rewards.

Held items alter a run. Check the item description before swapping: a damage bonus can come with a cost. This guide does not treat an item name as proof that it is always the strongest choice.

06 / Gacha, rifts and co-op

Gacha uses tickets earned by playing, with regional banners from Kanto to Paldea. The official guide says tickets cannot be bought for real money. Rifts lead to legendary arenas; the guide describes eighteen arena types.

Online co-op supports up to four players. Add friends by nickname, invite them into your room, then start together. Experience is shared; stand beside a fallen teammate to revive them. Use the official site for account and multiplayer setup if the embedded view has trouble.

07 / Survive the first few minutes

Keep an escape route instead of standing in the middle of a growing crowd. Ground markers warn of incoming attacks. Move out of those shapes before they fill.

Match your active move to enemy types, and pay attention to weather. The official guide describes rain strengthening Water and weakening Fire. Healers and shield-casters are useful priority targets because they support the rest of a horde.

If the game will not start

Click inside the game if keyboard input is scrolling this page. Try fullscreen on desktop, landscape on mobile, or the Open official site control. Reload restarts the embedded page and may discard an unsaved run.

A frame finishing navigation does not prove the game is playable. The surrounding page cannot inspect cross-origin account state or repair the publisher’s servers. Do not enter account credentials into any form outside the official game.
