FIELD NOTES / #079
Slowpoke in PokeSurvivor
Slowpoke occupies both extremes of the starter snapshot: the most HP at 110 and the least speed at 84. Confusion and its shared 1.06× attack make Psyduck the closest starting-move comparison.

See the tier method and full tableWhat Slowpoke's stats tell you
Slowpoke is #079, a generation 1 water and psychic partner. It is the only dual-type partner in this first ten-page batch. Its 110 HP is the highest in the full 29-starter table, while 84 speed is the lowest. Its attack multiplier is 1.06×.
This is the clearest HP-for-speed tradeoff in the snapshot. The equal-weight score places Slowpoke in A tier; it still counts all three stats, not HP alone. High starting HP does not establish how long Slowpoke survives, and low speed does not measure a player's ability to avoid enemies.
Starting move: Confusion
Confusion is a psychic projectile with homing behavior in the pinned move definition. The source comment dated 11 October 2026 records reduced psychic-move damage and weaker tracking. That historical source note is a reason to keep the revision visible, not evidence about today's leaderboard or meta.
Confusion's move evolution is Psyshock. Raise Confusion to its level 5 maximum and take a cooldown upgrade during the same run to make the gold evolution card eligible. The card still needs to be offered and chosen; these requirements do not automatically evolve the move.
Slowpoke compared with Psyduck and Tepig
Psyduck has 92 HP, 1.06× attack and 101 speed. Both begin with Confusion at the same attack multiplier, but Slowpoke has 18 more HP and 17 less speed. The shared move makes this a particularly direct comparison of two different starting stat distributions.
Tepig has 99 HP, 1.05× attack and 97 speed. Slowpoke gains 11 HP and 0.01 attack multiplier while giving up 13 speed points. Tepig starts with Ember, so this comparison also changes the starting move and cannot be reduced to an HP advantage alone.
Finding Slowpoke in the roster
Slowpoke is included alongside the regional first partners in this game's starter roster, despite not belonging to a traditional first-partner trio. The sources establish its starter entry and Confusion mapping, not an account-specific unlock rule or a Pokémon evolution route.
Common questions about Slowpoke
Does Slowpoke have the lowest speed in the whole game?
The verified claim is narrower: its 84 speed is the lowest among the 29 starters in this snapshot. This guide does not compare every non-starter Pokémon.
Was Confusion changed?
The pinned move source includes a psychic-move balance comment dated 11 October 2026 describing reduced damage and weaker tracking. This historical note is not a current strength ranking.
Is Slowpoke always better than Psyduck because it has more HP?
No such outcome was tested here. Slowpoke has 18 more HP but 17 less speed at the same attack multiplier and starting move. The stat score does not measure which tradeoff works better for your run.

Game data is fixed to revision c31715d. Base stats and starter selection were first checked on 2026-10-15; move definitions were checked on 2026-10-16. Later game updates may differ. Practical suggestions here are inferences from those definitions, not controlled run tests.
